The summit of Schiehallion and twin peaks achieved! Having climbed Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain, the previous day we felt a real sense of achievement reaching the summit of Schiehallion (3547 ft/1083m).
This climb took 4 hours which was no mean feat in training for the 6 days needed to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro – it’s slightly taller at 19,350 feet and the tallest free standing mountain in Africa.
