Rally prepared MG BGT

Rally prepared MG BGT. The original MG B was first produced in 1962 and by the end of production in 1980, 125 282 were made. The GT version was introduced in 1965 as a fixed roof, 2-door hatch back coupe.

Its ground-breaking design launched the sporty hatchback style. By combining the sloping rear window with the boot lid, it offered the utility of a station wagon while retaining the style and shape of a coupe.
Specially tuned MG B’s were successful in international road competition events, scoring a GT category victory in the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally. It also achieved many circuit racing wins at tracks such as Brands Hatch (UK) in 1965, Nurburgring (Germany) in 1966 and Spa (Belgium) in 1966 and 1967.

This one has now retired from racing but enjoyed a scenic tour around the Scottish Highlands at a more leisurely pace.
