Colonel John Blashford-Snell led the 19 strong expedition team in the Yanachaga Chemillen National Park, Peru in July 2014. The area is largely cloud forest rising to over 9000 feet and surrounded by a buffer zone with many poor villages. The aim of the expedition was to support this somewhat isolated Park in Western Peru, where efforts are being made to preserve the fauna and flora, especially the spectacled bear.
Team members concluded the Expedition with a traditional Burns supper, using Stahly`s tasty tinned haggis from Scotland.
