Burns Supper in the Gobi Desert with Stahly Scotch Haggis

Burns Supper in the Gobi Desert with Stahly Scotch Haggis
Stahly Scotch Haggis was served at a traditional Burns Supper of haggis, neeps and tatties (haggis, swede turnip and potatoes) in the Gobi Desert in July 2011.

The Stahly Haggis – traditional haggis in a skin, in a tin – travelled well to the Southern Gobi in Mongolia, for a Burns Supper which marked the end of an expedition led by Colonel John Blashford-Snell and supported by the Scientific Exploration Society.

Always in regular communication with Ken Stahly, Colonel John Blashford-Snell, sent photos of Stahly haggis being served in the Gobi desert and said “It was very well received by the Nomads and our expedition members.”
