The Stahly family name has been associated with quality food since 1923 when Fred Stahly, Snr. first opened his butcher shop in Kirkcaldy High Street. Grandson, Ken Stahly joined the family business in 1975, later taking over the running of the factory where he developed the unique concept of producing tinned haggis in a skin.

After the retiral of his parents in 1994 and recognising the general decline in the red meat industry, Ken saw great potential for this unique new product and Stahly Quality Foods was launched in April 1994 with three varieties of canned haggis.

Now, ten years on, Stahly Quality Foods Ltd. is a rapidly expanding business producing high quality Scottish foods mainly for the Scottish gift trade but also supplying delicatessens, independent retailers, health food co-ops and department stores. The company can also now boast sales in all five continents throughout the world and a manufacturing partner in Chicago producing tinned haggis to satisfy the US market.
